Student Building and Campus Plaza have a wide range of equipment, from small items such as stationery, tools and cleaning materials to large items such as desks, chairs and music stands. If you are a student at the University of Tokyo, you can borrow equipment with your Student ID Card/User Card.
Small equipment
In the Office, you can borrow equipment for decoration or craft, such as marker pens, box cutters, tapes and saws. They are called small equipment. If you hesitate to buy new tools for activities, feel free to borrow it!
How to use
- Write equipment names which you want to use and your name on a lending form for small equipment (whose color is pink) in the Office.
- Submit the lending form and your Student ID Card.
- Take equipment from shelves and be checked whether the number of them match with the form.
- After using, be checked the number of equipment, return them to the shelves and receive your Student ID Card.
Note
- You need the Student ID Card of Tokyo University to borrow equipment. Unlike borrowing keys of clubrooms, other university students cannot borrow it.
- You can borrow up to 3 equipment at a time.
- You can use consumables such as tapes only for slight work. If you want to use much more, please buy them.
- If you have used up marker pens or tapes, please do not throw them away and return them to the Office. They will be exchanged for new ones.
- You can use equipment ONLY INSIDE Komaba I Campus.
- You cannot borrow equipment for over 1 day. Please return them on the day.
- At the busy season, the number of available equipment may be limited temporarily.
Large equipment and expensive equipment
In the Office, you can borrow large equipment such as chairs, long desks and music stands, and expensive equipment such as a projector, a screen and a wireless microphone.
How to use
Large equipment and expensive equipment are lent for groups only which are registered Student Building Contact Committee. You can also borrow small equipment if you use them at the same time.
Borrow without reservation
Fill out the upper half of the lending form for large/expensive equipment in the Office and submit it with your Student ID Card.
Make a reservation
You can reserve large/expensive equipment from 1 month before borrowing. You can borrow large equipment up to 7 days if you can store them inside Komaba I Campus at night. (Expensive equipment, staplers and vacuum cleaners are available only for 1 day use.)
If you want to reserve, submit a lending form in the Office like borrowing without reservation. In this case, you have to fill out both of the upper half and the lower half of the form. On the appointed day, submit the permit certificate and your Student ID Card and receive the equipment.
Note
- You can use equipment ONLY INSIDE Komaba I Campus (including the site of storage if you borrow them over 1 day).
- Return large/expensive equipment by 30 minutes before closing.The number of large equipment which 1 group can borrow is limited.
- The number of large equipment which 1 group can reserve is also limited. If you want to know in detail, see the list of the upper limit.
- The number of large equipment available is limited. If you have to borrow them surely, you should make a reservation.
- There is only 1 stock of each kind of expensive equipment. If you want to use them, you should make a reservation.
- At the busy season, reservation may be accepted at one time and the upper limit of the number of equipment which can be reserved may be changed temporarily. Pay attention to the notice about it.
